We are very grateful to them for sharing. It was thrilling to read and enjoy the wonderful color pictures of familiar faces.
The article begins with history. Early visitors to our lake found cactus on its shore. Lake Poinsett was named in 1938, to honor the statesman, Joel Poinsett. In his travels, Joel Poinsett also brought back to the United States (and named) the Poinsettia plant that he discovered was part of their Mexican Christmas celebration.
